InvaTag tracks your district's devices from the order to the day they're retired: asset tags, checkouts, repairs and what's owed, technology agreements and the district store. Staff sign in with their Google Workspace accounts, and it works on a phone as well as at the desk.
What it does
Checkout and returns
Check devices out to students and staff and take them back by scanning a barcode, with a USB scanner or a phone's camera. Every hand-off is kept.
Repairs and payments
Log a ticket, split the cost between the people responsible, print invoices, record payments and move whole batches through Waiting, Sent In and Returned at once.
Technology agreements
Print each student's agreement with a QR code, scan the signed stack back in, and InvaTag files every form to its student. See who's signed, who hasn't and who declined.
Google Workspace
Sign in with Google, sync users with roles from org units and groups, leave out org units you don't want, and fill in grade levels from your SIS's custom attributes.
Orders and the store
Track what's on order, approve or deny new orders straight from the notification email, receive items into inventory, and run the student store and invoices.
Student data stays your district's
InvaTag holds student records, so it's built around FERPA from the ground up.
- Your own instance. Each district runs its own copy of InvaTag with its own database and encryption key. Nothing is shared between districts.
- Encrypted. Connection secrets are encrypted at rest, every connection uses HTTPS, and backups are encrypted with a passphrase only you know.
- Accountable. The audit log records who did what and when, from checkouts to who viewed a signed agreement.
- Yours to move. Download a full encrypted backup at any time and restore it on another server.
